NORDIC Seaplanes flies between Aarhus and Copenhagen in just 45 minutes

NORDIC Seaplanes flies 7 days a week between Aarhus and Copenhagen in just 45 minutes. In the summer time we also fly sightseeing trips over Copenhagen and Aarhus

The Company
Nordic Seaplanes is Denmark's only scheduled airline using Seaplanes‚ and at the moment‚ we are also the only active seaplane airline in all of Europe. We fly our DHC6-300 Amphibians between Copenhagen and Aarhus from Monday to Friday. Your flight is finished in just 45 minutes‚ making our seaplanes the fastest connection between Denmark's 2 largest cities.

Behind the company are two gentlemen with lots of seaplane experience. Lars Erik Nielsen‚ for many years‚ ran Maldivian Airlines (Maldivian Air Taxi & Trans Maldivian Airways)‚ where Lasse Rungholm flew as a captain. When they returned to Denmark‚ the islands and coastline of Denmark’s geography was obviously suited to connecting Denmark's capital‚ Copenhagen‚ and Jutland's largest city‚ Aarhus with a seaplane route.

On 25 May 2016‚ the first flight took off from Aarhus‚ heading for Copenhagen. Since then‚ demand has grown steadily and today our schedule is capable of transporting 168 passengers per day on our main route.

In addition to the scheduled route‚ we are available for extra special flights‚ such as sightseeing tours over Copenhagen and Aarhus‚ and custom charters to specific locations requested by our customers.

The aircraft we fly are built in Canada‚ and they are the most successful seaplanes operating in the world today. The Twin Otter’s Short Takeoff and Landing aerodynamics (STOL)‚ combined with extremely reliable turbo-prop engines make this the perfect aircraft for seaplane operations. The aircraft are amphibious‚ so they can also operate to and from runways.
